Lessons learnt from COVID: Guiding pandemic preparedness and response

The Australian Institute for Infectious Disease (AIID) and the Australian-French Association for Research and Innovation (AFRAN) will hold a joint symposium showcasing French and Australian research and co-operation on infectious diseases with a global impact.


Keynote speakers include Nobel Laureate Professors Françoise Barre-Sinoussi and Peter Doherty, along with the Director of the Doherty Institute, Professor Sharon Lewin, and Director and CEO of the Burnet Institute, Professor Brendan Crabb.


The event offers an unprecedented opportunity to meet with and hear from top infectious disease specialists from France and Australia as they discuss research and share experiences from past and present pandemics to guide future responses.
