Horizon Excellence Scholarships : opportunities in La Reunion Island University !
PRESENTATION :
The University of La Réunion's Department of International Relations (DRI) offers Horizon excellence scholarships from its own resources to study in one of the program's Masters 2 programs and obtain the Master's degree from the University of La Réunion.
This program, which is fully in line with the University of La Réunion's regional cooperation strategy, is aimed at students from 16 partner countries in the Indian Ocean region, and more particularly at students who wish to pursue a doctoral thesis.
Who is eligible?
Students holding a Master 1 or 2 degree from a university in one of the program's partner countries and wishing to do a Master 2 at the University of La Réunion and then pursue a doctorate, subject to selection, under joint supervision or co-direction of a thesis with their home university.
Candidates may not already be students or graduates of the Université de La Réunion or any other French university at the time of application.
Students must have a minimum level of B2 in French at the time of application.

SELECTION
Selection takes place in two phases:
1. Candidates are selected by the pedagogical committee of the M2 for which they are applying.
2. The Excellence Scholarship Commission of the International Relations Department of the University of La Réunion selects the best students from the Indian Ocean region from the applications submitted by the pedagogical commissions, and awards them a Horizon scholarship.

CRITERIA :
Only candidates who have been selected for the Master 2 program are ranked on the main list and on the complementary list. They are informed of their ranking by e-mail by the International Relations Department as soon as possible.
Selected candidates must confirm their participation within seven days of being notified of their selection. They should therefore check their e-mail inbox regularly, including spam. As soon as they have confirmed their participation, they must begin the process of obtaining their visa and registering at the University of La Réunion.
AMOUNT OF THE SCHORLASHIP AND WHAT THEY COVER
Up to €710 per month, for 10 months (August 2024-May 2025)
With this scholarship Australian students can pay :
> Air ticket
> University registration and CVEC (Student life and campus contribution)
> Accommodation
> Other daily expenses (clothing, food, books, outings, etc.).
