Call for applications to carry out a field study in French Polynesia!
The Maison des Sciences de l'Homme du Pacifique (Pacific House for Human Sciences) is launching a call for applications for young French and foreign researchers under the age of 35, working on their theses, diplomas or post-doctorates. It concerns all fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
There are 2 grants, each worth a maximum of €5,000, to cover the cost of transport to and from French Polynesia.
Application procedure:
The application must include a project description and schedule, a work plan and potential scientific correspondents in French Polynesia
A letter of recommendation from the PhD or postdoctoral supervisor should ideally be sent in support of the application.
Timeline and conditions:
- Application deadline: June 15, 2023
- Results and start of program: early July 2023
- End of program: November 20, 2023
Successful candidates will have to complete their projects within 5 months following the notification of award of the fellowship.
They will be required to submit a preliminary report within 1 month after the end of their fieldwork, and a final report no later than 1 year afterwards, accompanied by a draft publication in a well-regarded international journal.
