Asia Pacific Academic Mentoring Program - call for mentors and mentees

The ISC Regional Focal Point for Asia and the Pacific is facilitating a mentoring programme to connect early career researchers with senior science mentors to guide young scientists from developing nations within the region to become future leaders in academia.

This mentoring program aims to support Pacific scholars and ECRs to grow their academic careers (in any discipline) through the help of mentoring. This is a yearlong program with monthly (online) one-on-one mentoring sessions. The program kicks off during the Academy's event Science at the Shine Dome here in Canberra (Mon 9 to Thur 12 September 2024). All mentors and mentees are expected to be available to attend the event (travel costs and accommodation paid by the ISC RFP AP). Mentor and mentee eligibility criteria can be found on the factsheet.

Mentors: if you are a researcher in the Pacific and interested in mentoring for this program, please send your Expression of Interest here

Mentees: The link to apply can be found here.

To apply, the mentees will need to have a resume, a short motivation letter and a letter of endorsement signed by a supervisor or manager at their institute.

The deadline to send an EOI or apply is at the latest Friday 19 July.
