The launch of the Agri-Food scientific community of AFRAN (Australian French Association for Research and Innovation Incorporated) will take place on April 30, 2025 at the Residence of France in Canberra (6 Perth Av, Yarralumla 2601 ACT) and accessible online.
This new community will be coordinated by Dr. Jean-François Hocquette (INRAe) on the French side, and Dr. Andy Sheppard (CSIRO) on the Australian side.
This event will bring together researchers, government officials, and private sector stakeholders. It will allow AFRAN to formalise the extension of its field of activity, particularly in the areas of climate and resilience in the Pacific region, as part of the French-Australian bilateral cooperation roadmap.
For the launch of this community, three panels are proposed:
· Main challenges for agriculture: Australian & French perspectives
