​Since its establishment in 2014 the Canberra Innovation Network has experimented with new approaches to support economic growth through innovation, integrated and linked services of other providers in the ACT. CBRIN has a rich history and has taken a central role in growing the innovation community and its ecosystem.

CBRIN builds on Canberra being a clever, connected and creative city. It provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs, businesses, research institutions and mentors to connect.
The ACT Government supports CBRIN to provide a range of programs. Led by experienced entrepreneurs, they provide access to skills, support and funding opportunities. Their aim to help grow innovative companies.
One funding opportunity is the Innovation Connect (ICON) grant program. It provides matched funding between $10,000 and $30,000 to support innovative entrepreneurs.
