INRA is recruiting 49 experienced researchers in 2017

Being an INRA researcher means supporting the Institute in its commitment to open science with digital tools.  INRA uses open competitions to recruit experienced researchers who are proficient at designing and conducting research projects.

Applications are open from 3 July to 30 August (online applications) or 1st September (paper applications) 2017.

AFRAN Workshops 2017

In 2016, AFRAN offered grants to members of the Association to support the organisation of 2 workshops aimed specifically at creating structured collaborations within the perimeter of AFRAN and/or between France and Australia. One workshop was on the gene drives with CRISPR technics, the other was on cancer resistance and has been the occasion to launch the first LIA (International Associated Laboratory) between INSERM and Australia.

In 2017, the association will fund 4 new projects on major themes:

  • The Australia-French Energy Symposium – As part of the 3rd Energy Future Conference, coordinated by Prof François Aguey-Zinsou
  • The development of a French-Australian alliance for Ocean Wave Energy, coordinated by Dr Ben Cazzolato
  • The Exoplanets and Astrobiology workshop, coordinated by Dr Charles Lineweaver
  • The French-Australian collaborative project on the observation of sea ice biogeochemistry and its representation in
    global Earth system models, coordinated by Dr Sebastien Moreau.

INRIA : Associate Teams 2018 – call for proposals

INRIA, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control aims at Encouraging projects with Australia to foster new collaborations.

An Associate Team is a joint research project created between an Inria project-team and a research team from abroad. The two partners jointly define a scientific objective with a clear added value for each of them, a research plan and a program for bilateral exchanges. To promote and develop such scientific collaborations throughout the world, by supporting high quality research projects, Inria’s European and International Partnerships Department-EIPD annually launches a call for proposals.

Call for applications – IMéRA d’Aix-Marseille

IMéRA and its partners are issuing 4 calls, one per programme. Each programme is associated with a “white” (or general) call and a set of specific residencies jointly managed by local, national or international partners. These specific residencies include chairs reserved for experienced researchers.
Interested researchers, writers or artists may apply for one programme only. Please indicate the type of residency you are requesting in your application (general program and/or specific residency) :
  • Art, Science and Society Programme
  • Mediterranean Programme
  • “Science Meets Humanities” Programme
  • Global Phenomena and Regulation Programme

Applications

Applications must be in English or French.
Candidates must submit their applications exclusively on IMéRA’s website (candidatures-imera.univ-amu.fr).
  • Online applications must include:
  • Duly completed application form (mandatory fields): Curriculum Vitae with a list of publications (and/or creations/exhibitions for artists) ; Presentation of research project (maximum 5 pages) with selective bibliography (mandatory for researchers) ; For junior researchers: one to three letters of recommendation ; Additional documents specific to each residency.
